April Fools I

April 2020 was probably a historic month in terms of stock market performance. According to our calculation, investors who were probably in a panic of buying ensured growth in the S & P500 of 16.59% (calculation method: division of the closing price of the cash market on April 30, 2020 by the opening price of the cash market on April 1).

The month of April therefore ranks sixth in the perpetual list. The table above left shows the best 10 months.

The meaning of the event can only really be classified if one takes only the last 50 years and does not take into account the years of depression (second table, top right)

But how did the market develop after experiencing such a price explosion?

Stay tuned!
