Fear about Covid19 consequences and the associated economic impact weighed heavily on the indices. News about failed vaccine trials also played a role in the indices closing into the red zone. The S&P500 lost about 1.30% despite good news, including that from the FED. While the gold price lost 0.32%, the oil price (+9.78%) and the US T-bonds (+2.66%) gained strongly.
